Important Information on the Reporting of Student Results for the Spring 2012 STAAR Administrations:
The State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) are administered for the first time this spring. Since these are new assessments, the timeline for reporting results to parents/guardians is different this year for End-of-Course (EOC) and the grades 3-8 administrations.
For STAAR EOC assessments, performance standards will be set in the spring. In early June 2012, the Texas Education Agency will provide Confidential Student Reports to districts. These will be mailed to parents/guardians.
For STAAR grades 3–8 assessments, the Texas Education Agency will set the performance standards in fall 2012. Districts will receive and mail the Confidential Student Reports in January 2013. The unusual delay in reporting STAAR grades 3-8 results is only for this first year of STAAR implementation. Please ensure that you communicate any address changes to the campus.
There are no changes to the reporting dates for students in grades 10, 11, and 12 taking TAKS. TAKS results will be sent to districts in May.
