Traffic Procedures
The following procedures have been developed with the goal of keeping all of our students, parents, and staff safe. Please see the campus map located on the following page for a visual of traffic procedures.

All parents bringing their students to school or picking them up should use the Royder Road Entrance into the back parking lot on Greens Prairie Trail and Royder Road. line up on the curb nearest the school in a single line. Do not park in the bus lot during drop off and pick up times. Staff members will be present during normal drop off and pick up hours to assist your students as they enter and exit the automobile. Parents that wish to enter the building, must sign-in through the front office. Please do not park on the side of the road to drop off or pick up your child from school.  To stay safe, students and parents should use designated crossing areas that are staffed with safety personnel. Crossing the parking lot can be dangerous. To keep traffic flowing and driving safe, please do not park in the fire lanes or other designated non-parking areas. With everyone working together, we can create a quick and safe system for drop off and dismissal.

Bike Riders:
To keep our walkers safe, bike riders will walk their bikes to the bike racks once they arrive on school grounds. Bike riders are encouraged to use sidewalks with care and to watch out for pedestrians. In addition, bike riders are encouraged to utilize the crosswalk when crossing the street.

Students who walk to and from school are encouraged to use sidewalks whenever possible to ensure safety. Walkers waiting for parents will do so on the side of the school near the cafeteria, next to the bike racks. A teacher monitor will be supervising the students in this area.

School safety is a priority. All parents are asked to follow traffic procedures to ensure the safety of all students. To foster positive community relationships, we encourage parents not to park off-campus to pick up their child. Please follow the traffic procedures we have in place to promote efficiency and safety.

School Dismissal times: Kindergarten and First grade students will be leaving their classrooms to dismiss at 3:00 pm. 2nd-4th will be leaving their classrooms at 3:05 pm to dismiss.

Maximizing instructional time is a campus priority. We encourage parents not to pick students up early unless they have a medical appointment. Students will not be checked out beginning at 2:45 pm. They will be dismissed according to school procedures. This will help promote dismissal efficiency and safety.

Change of transportation requests need to be called in to the office before 2:30 pm. Please do not rely on email to request a change of transportation. A note to the teacher is encouraged and a follow-up call to the office will ensure a request of transportation is communicated with the office and teacher.
