News and Announcements

Last Day of School

Please don't forget that Friday is an Early Release Day. Children will be dismissed at 12:45 pm. In the morning, the children will go straight to class rather than morning assembly. Our Schedule:
8:30 โ€“9:00 am Sing-A-Long
9:30 am-4th Grade Celebration
(4th graders and parents)
Immediately following the 4th grade celebration will be
the 4th Grade Farewell Parade (It will be at
approximately 10:30 am depending on when the
celebration program is done.)

Since the weather Thursday did not allow for the Waterslide activities for our 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders, we will do indoor bounce house rotations in the gym tomorrow for our 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade students.

Weather Thank you!

Thank you to our staff and parents for working together during dismissal to make sure that all of our students were safe and sound! The students did an amazing job following directions during our duck and cover time. Please stay safe tonight!

Weather UPDATE 2:58 pm

All CSISD campuses are in duck and cover due to the weather. This will likely affect dismissal at the elementary schools. AMCHS graduation practice has been cancelled. If students are already at Reed Arena, please stay there until the storm passes. Otherwise get off of the road to safety.

Greens Prairie students earn honors in national math contest

This spring, several Greens Prairie third and fourth grade students won national awards in the Noetic Learning Math Contest. Over 30,000 students competed nationwide.

Both teams also won team awards and were awarded Team Achievement plaques for scoring in the top 10% of teams in the contest.

The Noetic Learning Math Contest is a semiannual problem solving contest for elementary and middle school students. The goal of the competition is to encourage students' interest in math, to develop their problem solving skills, and to inspire them to excel in math.

During the contest, students are given 45 minutes to solve 20 problems which are designed to challenge students and to enrich their problem solving experiences.
